Our story

For the engineer still at the desk

This product did not start with a business plan. It started with desks that stayed lit too late. It only wants one thing: to take the carrying out of drawing work.

Where it stands today

  • Early product, iterating in public
  • YOLO detection + DeepSeek OCR
  • Local-first Windows desktop
  • 1,280+ industry models

No growth-story theatre — just a delivery chain that is still moving forward.

01 · Late night

At 1 a.m., the drawing is more awake than the engineer

We have seen that scene: one lamp left on, drawings across the desk, and Excel stopped at dimension 128 of drawing 37.

Measure, copy, check the number, repeat. A revision arrives and every record before it is void. It is not a lack of skill — it is skill spent on the wrong work.

What we wanted was not “a recognition tool”. It was: can this person turn the light off earlier?

Not a smarter piece of software — one fewer late night for a person.
02 · Version one

First teach the machine to see, then to read

Version one did exactly one thing: frame the dimension annotations. The model was clumsy; we retrained it when it failed, and ran a few hundred drawings again and again.

Framing was the easy part. A single wrong tolerance can waste a whole batch — so we never let it “look smart”. We only let it be confirmable, step by step.

That is where review, confidence and per-item editing came from. One extra confirmation is a small price; carrying the blame for an error is not.

Recognition can be fast. Delivery has to wait half a beat — that half beat is the human.
03 · Kept

Its first real success was not being uninstalled

Not downloads. Not a nice chart. Just someone using it once — and leaving it there.

The last drawing of the day finished, and for once they did not open Excel again. They closed the laptop and left.

We also began to understand: every number on a drawing is a dimension of a part, and a promise someone has to keep. A tool should not make the decision — but it can carry the repeated words.

The warmest moment of technology is when it sits quietly in the corner and gives you an evening back.
04 · Ahead

Walk this road a little further

We are still catching up: models that understand drawings better, a more complete delivery system, more controllable deployment. Not fast — but each version should be a little more worth keeping.

We will not promise “fully automatic, no review”. Drawing quality varies too much; the person who signs must see every step. Our job is to make seeing easier.

If one day this drawing lets you get home early, or finish your child’s homework with them, then this was worth building.

For whoever is still at the desk tonight: may your light go off a little earlier.
A note

If you are still checking the last drawing tonight

We hope it ends sooner.

Not by letting a machine decide for you, but by taking the copying, numbering and formatting off your hands — so you have time for what only a person can do: look at the dimension and sign your name.

This product is young, and it will still make mistakes. We will keep making it steadier and more drawing-literate, until one day you no longer need to stay late for it.

Milestones

How we got here

No tidy narrative arc — just the next missing step, filled in, one at a time.

  1. The spark

    One lamp left on

Someone was still copying dimension 128 of a drawing.

  2. Version one

    Learn to see

A small model that only framed dimension annotations.

  3. Brave enough

    The review step

One more confirmation, so no one carries the blame for an error.

  4. Kept

    Not uninstalled

It started appearing on engineers’ desks.

  5. Now

    Still walking

Better models, steadier delivery, more controllable deployment.
